Aircraft Kits

Av-DEC kits are custom combinations of Av-DEC polyurethane sealing materials. For customer convenience, Av-DEC can design a sealant kit to meet a customer's needs, combining several part numbers in one kit, reducing the customer's need to order several separate part numbers. The sealing kits are excellent corrosion-prevention solutions that can be applied to military and commercial airframes during installation, repair, and regular maintenance tasks. The materials are available for Military, Commercial, and Corporate aircraft in over 50 kits. No matter what the specific corrosion problem, there's an Av-DEC solution. Av-DEC Kits combine several innovative sealing solutions into an overall system designed to completely prevent corrosion of aircraft structures. Customized combinations can also be applied for specific applications.

The prevention of corrosion is critical to keeping aircraft airworthy for long periods of time. Although specific corrosion challenges vary from one aircraft to another, Av-DEC has an answer for almost every situation. These answers most often come in the form of stand-alone corrosion-inhibiting solutions but for complex problems, an Av-DEC kit may needed. Av-DEC kits vary in terms of their content but they offer specific solutions to the many specific problems faced by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and maintenance and repair organizations.

Av-DEC kits contain sealing solutions such as pre-cured polyurethane conductive or non-conductive gaskets, polyurethane rolled sealants, injectable sealants, and/or HI-TAK SpraySeal. The right combination is determined by the specific structure in need of protection. With the proper combination, the following benefits apply:
