This video describes the method for installation of Av-DEC HI-TAK Polyurethane Rolled Sealant (PRS) HT3935-7 linear gasket material for use between surfaces where moisture intrusion is a problem. The instructions also include the proper installation of nut clips.
Av-DEC's Flame-Retardant HI-TAK Polyurethane Rolled Sealants (PRS) pass the 12-second Vertical Bunsen Burner Test per 14 CFR Part 25, Appendix F, Part 1 (a)(1)(II) and the 15-second Horizontal Bunsen Burner Test per 14 CFR Part 25, Appendix F, Part 1 (a)(1)(IV) & (V). The 12-second vertical flammability test is one of the more stringent forms of flammability testing conducted on cabin and cargo materials. Each lot of Av-DEC Flame-Retardant sealant is tested using the vertical Bunsen burner method and the results are approved by an FAA Designated Engineering Representative. The HI-TAK PRS is not your average sealant.
